Went with family for the Halloween woodland walk , and grandkids loved it. There was also a fun fair, food and drinks carts, little stalls, a crafting tent, and another very large maquette where there was seating and a disco. We were very lucky with the weather and sat outside. There are plenty of wooden picnic tables. Also had portaloo's.
We've been here numerous times now and have never been disappointed. The camp site , in fact the whole site is incredibly well kept. Everything from the toilets to the fields to the on site facilities are always pristine. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and there is always a nice warm atmosphere. The bar and food prices are more than reasonable. I can highly recommend Hooton Lodge for a camping trip, or to host your own party or event. It really is one on its own, and if that's not enough, they have an onsite secure play area along with rides and attractions. for the kids. They've always got something going on to keep you entertained.
Absolutely would not recommend this place, the security guard riding round in his car threatening people in the early hrs.
Saying he could take them onto the moors! bury them where no one would find them, toilets were padlocked at 22:30, when asked told to pee in the field (lone female) felt unsafe.
The level of threats and anger was not nice at all, this carried on till 8.30am and he was still wanting to fight.
Not good with young kids around.

Brilliant weekend camping with glorious weather in September. Attended with the Dubbed Out Campout crew @ Hooton Lodge farm facilities. Themed nights, this one was Hero's and Villains with Ibiza club classics arena for Music. Food stalls and kids entertainment on site. Only drawback from my point was music finished too early for a Saturday night with the bars closing shortly after. 2pm licence would be better.
Wow where do I start the organisation an every last detail that went into our kids last night was amazing there was as many staff as kids the pick up drop off 1 way was fab all them kids in 1 place an no trouble every last 1 beaming it’s time people believed in our kids but nope there’s nothing out there for them but I’ve never seen laughter like it smiles dancing you name it they all had it just wanna say Hooton Lodge Farm. Wow you an your staff did a fantastic job an thank you for allowing this to happen i really hope you do it again as I’ll be at the front of the que for tickets absolutely amazing night for the kids
P.s I wanna be under 18 if there’s another 🙏🏻👏👏👏
DO NOT STAY HERE!
I came to camp for one night with friends and family for a 50th birthday party and the security guard was driving around all night long.
On multiple occasions he came up to our tent threatening to kick us off the pitch, take my car keys off me, call the police and other unspeakable things.
He also insulted many of us and I won’t even repeat what he said to one of our party members because it was so inappropriate.
I really cannot distress my disgust and disappointment with this place.
I would never in a million years stay here again or recommend it to anyone!!
Great music in marquee. Poor choice of drinks in the bar. (No IPA). Portaloos left a bit to be desired. Good time had overall though.
what a fantastic few days with such great company..thank you Keith and Denise for opening your home to us and being amazing hosts and looking after us , we feel like royalty and great friends now..staff on site we're so amazing..Keith on the front gate denise you keep everything so clean and sparkling and go the extra mile to make sure people are looked after...we will be back again for sure...love paddy and shelly xx
